Are you treating life like a clickable link?
Most anything that you want is at a click of a button… what to make for dinner, read a book and purchase that perfect gift. We have been trained to want everything in an instant. Even much of the foods that we have are instant…cups of soup, mac and cheese, hot cereal. It is no wonder that we want to have success in an instant.
Why do you think the lottery is so popular? People play with the hopes of winning it big. There are so many get rich and done for your offers that people believe that they can just click a button and have everything they ever dreamed about. There might be something out there that may give you overnight success BUT it will never last long term.
I am sure you have heard the story of the tortoise and the hare. The hare decides to run ahead and when he finds that he is far ahead – takes a rest. The tortoise walks slow and steady…one step at a time toward the finish line. He continues on the path not seeing any real progress because his movements are small. BUT those small steps over time add up and before he knew it was inching up to the finish line and just crosses over ahead of the hare because of his consistency.
That is how it is for us in business. We run super hard, get burned out and discouraged because we did not have the results that we believed that we should have. We compare ourselves to leaders and think that we should be there in an instant. We did not see all the tiny movements that they made day in and day out to reach their level of success.
It is the simple things that we do each day, whether we feel like it or not, that build into something great.
So stop treating life like a clickable link will put you on the road to success.
